Academy
Prep is truly a "neighborhood center," and as
such, it thrives because of the community support it receives. Academy
Prep is characterized by intensive support over long hours by many
committed people—students, faculty, staff, and volunteers.
This support is not inexpensive, and all students attend Academy
Prep on full scholarships provided by the local community.

SPONSOR A STUDENT |

Sponsor
A Student One of the best ways to support Academy Prep is
by sponsoring a student. The Sponsor A Student program is designed
to link donors to the students they are supporting through their generosity.

As students meet the income guidelines
for the federal lunch program to be considered for admission,
all students attend on need-based scholarships provided by the community—from
individuals, businesses, and foundations.
It costs roughly $13,500 to provide a full scholarship for a student
for one year at Academy Prep.. Your gift to Academy Prep Foundation
helps provide worthy students the opportunity to change their life's
path—and the tools to become a positive, productive member of
society. |

Others choose to support Academy Prep each year by attending or
supporting events, as well. Academy Prep hosts only one or two special
events each year and often is selected to be the beneficiary of
others' events. Periodically, we publish information regarding upcoming
events. Check back regularly for updates on coming events.
Individuals may support Academy Prep financially in many ways.
While checks and credit card payments are most common, many choose
to transfer to Academy Prep appreciated securities. Others choose
to establish trusts, assign life insurance policies, or establish
annuities for Academy Prep or name Academy Prep a beneficiary in
a will. For more information on "Planned Giving," or our

VOLUNTEERING |

Many
individuals and organizations choose to support Academy Prep through
the wonderful donation of "person hours." The "hands
on" support of volunteers enriches our students' experience in
immeasurable ways. Some people commit to coming to campus to read
with a student once a week. Some companies develop elaborate volunteer
corps programs. One such company, Raymond James, uses their financial
analysts to teach an economics education course each year to 7th and
8th grade students-complete with a class project designed to generate
funds for Academy Prep.
