The
Graduate Support Program (GSP) is committed to supporting Academy
Prep graduates in a myriad of ways from middle school on to secondary
school and through college. The program will utilize its experience
and knowledge of the available resources to support and to promote
students’ secondary and higher education. Moreover, the program
seeks to provide students with the most supportive and educationally
stimulating environment possible. Thus, information on the various
educational options is made available to parents and to students,
which allows for a more cohesive match between the student and the
school.
GSP is a principal source of academic help, guidance and peer support.
Supervised study space with access to computers, books, and other
resources are made available to students. Assistance with financial
aid forms, SAT prep courses, high school and college visits are
all part of the program. In addition to providing assistance with
studies, the program also trains students to be accountable for
their academic progress. Moreover, the personal needs of the students
are also addressed. Reunions are held to build and maintain relationships
among peers and Academy Prep. In summation, the Graduate Support
Program is essential in the early identification and resolution
of problems that could cause a student to drop out of secondary
school.
